Special Lecture on My Experiments with Innovation at Punjabi University, Patiala

Education is like giving wings to your dreams. Education breeds confidence, confidence to give direction to your dreams.

My visits to India always includes a visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji (Golden Temple), which is a preeminent spiritual site of Sikhism and giving back to society through lectures at education institutes.

My visit in June 2022 included a special lecture at Punjabi University, Patiala. The lecture was addressed to the faculty members of the university. Based on my book, “My Experiments with Innovation,” I presented on “How to achieve your goals faster!”

My connection to the Punjabi University, Patiala started in 2020 when I met Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Brar at the Better Learning & Teaching Conference. Roar 4 Change along with Jagat Punjabi Sabha and Punjabi Cultural & Welfare Association organized the Better Learning & Teaching Conference on Feb 21st & Feb 22nd, 2020 in Navi Mumbai. My association with Dr. Brar started at the conference.

My lecture on How to achieve your goals faster was well received by all the faculty members. The lecture was attended by Dr. Arvind, Vice Chancellor at the University, Dr. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Head of Distance Learning and faculty members from various departments. The lecture touched on how the faculty members could change the journey of students and also work as a team for the betterment of the institute.

“The lecture given by S. Baljit Singh, Texas, USA in the department of distance education Punjabi university Patiala (Punjab) India on the topic “how to achieve goals faster” was one of the relevant topics in current scenario as it explored various aspects of personality development. In contemporary times it is essential to first know your strength and weaknesses. The main focus of the lecture was to explore strategies how one can identify key strengths and weaknesses. If we talk about youth more specifically youth of Punjab who are struggling with these issues. If they focus on such fundamental areas then it will help them to set their goals in life and achieve them with appropriate methods. I personally feel that such type of lectures on positivity and life skills should be conducted on series basis for the development of the personality. I really congratulate Mr. Baljit Singh ji for the wonderful session and sharing his views on such a pertinent issue. Thank you so much or inspiring us to think seriously about these issues so that we all can take certain steps in bringing positive change in the society.” Gurpreet Singh Brar, Assistant Professor Political Science Department of Distance Education Punjabi University Patiala
